Why Sacred Rage,
Holy Love?

The title came from a tension I kept living inside. Sacred rage is the part of us that knows when something has wounded, diminished, or silenced us. It is not anger without purpose; it is anger that reveals what mattered, what hurt, and what can no longer be ignored.

Holy love is the tenderness that does not ask us to abandon that truth. Together, the words hold both fire and softness—the truth that we can be angry, grieving, loving, faithful, uncertain, and still worthy of care.

It began as the words I needed while moving through experiences that did not feel neat or easily explained. Individual reflections, questions, prayers, and pieces of truth slowly became a larger body of work.

I did not write from the other side of everything. I wrote while becoming—while learning how to name what I felt, what I lost, what I desired, what I believed, and what I was finally ready to release.

Sacred Rage, Holy Love grew from lived reflection: grief, relationships, faith, loneliness, survival, longing, self-reclamation, and the complicated work of becoming honest with yourself.

It came from realizing that healing is rarely one clean emotion. Sometimes love and anger share the same room. Sometimes faith and doubt speak at the same time. The book makes room for that complexity.

It does not ask the reader to arrive polished, certain, or completely healed. It meets people in the middle—where the answers may still be forming and the feelings may still contradict one another.

The language is poetic, but the emotions are lived. The goal is not to explain a reader’s life to them. It is to offer words that help them recognize their own.
